Hilton unveils new friendly offerings for family travel

Hilton launches many family services to not only enrich guests' accommodation options but also help guests bond and connect while on the road.

SHANGHAI – Hilton has announced the rollout of new amenities and services specially designed to allow families to relax and form lasting connections on the road. The new Family Fun package introduces pain-relieving perks such as laundry services, kind dining offers, kids in-room fun pack, kids ambassador service as well as conscientious attention to family dynamics such as providing side-by-side accommodation for families spread across multiple rooms.

Meanwhile, special activities including a Mini-GM program which provides a fun yet educational full-day experience for kids. Meanwhile, Li Xiaopeng, the Olympic gold medal winner in male gymnastics, and his daughter were asked to attend the official launch event for these new amenities as special guests, where they will engage with the mini-GMs. All new offers and the promoted kids’ programs aim to make Hilton the most hospitable place for families while traveling.

“At Hilton, we believe that travel presents an ideal opportunity for families to bond and form lasting connections together, and we remain committed to creating heartfelt, happy experiences for the whole family,” said Wendy Huang, senior vice president and commercial director, Greater China & Mongolia, Hilton. “Our new offerings allow family members to relax and focus on what really matters while traveling together – the connections made with family members and enjoying a sense of childlike wonder – whether with kids or multiple generations.”

Hilton’s Family Fun Package is designed to help parents in relieving pain points of traveling with the family, and provide educational experiences for kids. Package offerings include:

  • Complimentary breakfast – parents will enjoy one complimentary breakfast each per guest room (limit of two per room) when participating the package
  • Kids’ amenities – Kid’s in-room slippers, bath amenities and one backpack will be provided. Hilton Honors Members who book will enjoy the Premium Packs containing a kid’s bathrobe, coloring book, and color pens. Meanwhile, kid’s bath amenities brand, Creatures, which has pure natural plant essence and zero additive formula, will bring all the safety care to children
  • Connecting rooms – Connecting rooms are available upon request (subject to availability), with rooms side-by-side rooms or rooms on the same floor being a top priority for families traveling together;
  • Dining for Kids – A complimentary lunch/dinner buffet for kids under 5 years old will be provided, and a half-price lunch/dinner buffet for kids aged 6-12 will be available with every purchase of an adult entree;
  • Kid’s Ambassador – Each hotel will feature a Kids Ambassador who will welcome family guests and help them to check in, deliver amenities to kids, introduce the kid-friendly facilities, and help arrange activities;
  • Laundry service – Complimentary regular laundry service for four (4) pieces of kids clothing per kid per room per day. Regular laundry service consists of normal cleaning, dry cleaning or pressing.

Meanwhile, the Mini GM program is a culturally relevant and educational full-day experience for kids, aged 3-12, which will be rolled out at over 40 properties in Greater China. The program will be offered at Hilton Chengdu, Hilton Dali Resort & SPA, and Hilton Linzhi Resort, among others. The Mini GM program is a culturally relevant program which provides a fun yet educational full-day experience for kids. The activity will take participants through a journey experiencing the day-to-day operations of a manager at a global hospitality company, and further develop their sense of responsibility. Meanwhile, parents will be able to enjoy a little time for themselves to relax like kids, as the children are playing the roles of the adults.

On top of the new offerings, Hilton remains poised to be a top hotel choice for families, with over 100 properties and 7 brands in Greater China, all of which are introducing the family fun package, thereby providing a variety of options for all types of families, all with the consistency and international service standard of Hilton. Meanwhile, the Hilton Honors loyalty program provides numerous opportunities for guests to enjoy more rewarding experiences when traveling with family, providing more flexibility, more value, and more ways for Honors members to use their Points.
