In preparation for the launch of its new Website, hg2.com, high-end city guide publisher Hg2 has teamed up with travel social network Tripatini, recently dubbed by the New York Post as “Facebook for travellers.”

As part of the partnership, Hg2 is providing Tripatini’s community of travellers and industry insiders with monthly reviews of the most hip and happening venues across the globe – all of which will draw on its vast database of hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs and shops. The reviews are being published in Tripatini’s weekly ‘Spotlight’ section, an editorial column that highlights must-see venues around the world. Hg2 and Tripatini also plan to collaborate on competitions and special offers later in 2010.

The first six Hg2 guides were published in 2004, a range that has since expanded to 21 astute guides to some of the world’s most exciting cities. The guides all follow the same format, with clear chapters covering the best places to Sleep, Eat, Drink, Snack, Party, Shop, Play and Visit in each city. Lengthy reviews, ratings and stunning photography throughout ensure the reader knows exactly what to expect before they go so there are no disappointments.

The guides are also published online where continual updates from our local reviewers ensure that they never go out of date. Cities covered to date are: Almaty and Astana, Berlin, Beirut, Buenos Aires, Dubai, Istanbul, London, Eat London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Marrakech, Miami, Milan, Moscow, New York, Eat New York, Paris, Prague, Rome, Stockholm and Tallinn.
