Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co. Ltd (UBM Sinoexpo), UBM Asia’s joint-venture company in China, presents the Hotelex + Design & Deco (“HDD”) exhibition which will take place from 29 March to 1 April 2011 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. This will be the world’s largest exhibition for comprehensive hotel services, space design and decoration industries. It will feature over 2,000 local and overseas exhibitors and occupy over 165,000 sqm, showcasing quality fashionable design and decoration products. This event is expected to attract 80,000 international industry professionals over the four days of the show. “HDD” will consist of six sections occupying 13 exhibition halls, featuring products in the high-end market and with the “green energy” concept. Meanwhile leading forums, conferences, prize-giving ceremonies and theme shows etc. will be held making it a feast for the industries.
“HDD” is introduced by UBM Sinoexpo, with an objective of “unifying brand, sharing resources”. Focusing on hotels, restaurants, bars and shops, it will showcase various hotel supplies. It will also support architectural design, building materials, bathroom, cleaning, lighting products and other related aspects of the business. This new mode of operation has become the leading development concept in the exhibition industry. “HDD” will feature six brand exhibitions which will be held in the same period by UBM Sinoexpo: Hotelex Shanghai; Expo Build China; Ceramics, Tile & Sanitary Ware China; China Clean Expo; Expo Light China; and Expo Deco and China International Building & Interior Design Festival.
As the major part of “HDD”, Hotelex Shanghai celebrates its 20th anniversary and has been growing steadily with the continuous development of the hotel industry in China. Hotelex Shanghai is now the biggest exhibition in the hotel and catering industry in Asia, and also the best exhibition in the hotel supplies business going back through its 20-year history. Being the first meeting place for comprehensive building materials in Shanghai in spring 2011, Expo Build China, Ceramics, Tile & Sanitary Ware China, Expo Light, Expo Deco and China International Building & Interior Design Festival will work together to provide a one-stop procurement platform and all-in-one solution for industry professionals. Moreover, with its accumulated experience in the past nine years, China Clean Expo has gained a well-established reputation in the Asia commercial cleaning market. The Expo will introduce an exhibition area for hotel and building water purification equipment this year.
Another highlight for “HDD” will be the variety of live events. Over 40 events will be held during the show, including forums, prize-giving ceremonies and conferences, most of which are important events in the industry. The China Barista Championship – Final is the only coffee making competition in China that runs to professional standards and is organised with international endorsement. UBM Sinoexpo introduced this competition into China in 2003 and it is well received and supported by professionals. Expo Deco and China International Building & Interior Design Festival will feature various building materials and classic home design. Professionals from urban planning, architecture, interior design, real estate development and government organisations will also attend the event. The China Clean Industry Development Promotion Alliance will make its first appearance, raising public awareness on “cleaning” industry. A series of community activities will be organised to promote the public image of clean industry and the contribution it makes to public hygiene and people’s living. Other activities include: Industrial Forum on China Hotel Development, COCA Century Oro Ceramics Award Ceremony and match-making meetings for lighting projects of the China hotel industry.
