Grebstadhicks Communications responds to South-East Asian tourism growth by expanding in Singapore

GrestadHocks Communication is adding more staff to deal as more tourism products need to be known by Asian consumers.

SINGAPORE– GrebstadHicks Communications (GHCasia), Asia’s leading public relations agency for the hospitality, travel and luxury lifestyle sector, is responding to regional tourism growth by expanding its Singapore operations –appointing senior international specialists Dana Urmonas as General Manager and Chisato Nishiyorias Account Director. “We have doubled the staff in our Singapore office in the last 18months in response to increasing business, which we believe reflects the growthof travel and tourism in the region,” said GHCasia’s CEO, Paul Hicks.

Ms Urmonas has been promoted from Account Director to General Manager for the Singapore operation after being with the agency for 1½ years. She brings more than 15 years of marketing & public relations experience with agencies and large restaurant groups in Asia, as well as multinationals including Nestlé in Australia and Flextech Television in London. Ms Urmonas will look after the day-to-day agency operations as well as oversee all client relations and will be responsible for new business development.

Also joining the team is Ms Nishiyoriwhose experience in PR, Marketing and Events Management extends from the UK to Japan and Singapore –including Michelin-starred Chef Atul Kochhar’s Benares Restaurant in London, and Conrad Tokyo. She recently oversaw PR and Marketing Communications for the launch of Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa in Singapore.

In Singapore,GHCasia’s accounts include Hotel Fort Canning, Luxperience, Morton’s, Marriot Singapore, TransAsia Airways, Orient-Express, Silversea Cruises and Fairline Boats.The office also represents three resorts in Thailand: The Sarojin and Crowne Plaza Panwa Beach Resort in Phuket and InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort in Koh Samui.
