Michael Zhang, Brand Communication Director of Great Wall Motor (Thailand), said: “GWM is pleased to play a part in promoting tourism in secondary cities through the GWM Life Road Trooper: ‘Driving with Young Heart, Traveling to the End of the Road’ program, which has been organized for the second time after the success of the first one. On this trip, the participants had a chance to explore and embrace art, culture and major tourist attractions in Ratchaburi through various creativity-boosting activities that generated new experiences for the participants. This is in line with our commitment to always create new user experiences. Moreover, the participants got a chance to experience the advanced technologies of the All New HAVAL H6 Hybrid SUV, the popular premium SUV, that has ranked first in terms of sales in the compact SUV segment for five consecutive months (January to May 2022). We truly hope this program is going to foster the country’s economy.”

In addition to the TAT, GWM Life Road Trooper is also supported by six other partners: the Foundation for the Promotion of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction (P-GER), the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), and the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), Tiew Thai ETC and the Creative Media for Tourism Club. This program will run throughout the year and place importance on eco-friendly tourism under the ‘Bio-Circular-Green’ economy (BCG) model, which helps boost growth in society and the economy in a sustainable way through leveraging biological resources to elevate products and services. This concept is aligned with ‘GWM Initiative’, GWM’s corporate social responsibility program, which focuses on social development, cultural diversity, and community building and development.

The caravan trip, which comprised seven All New HAVAL H6 Hybrid SUVs, started its excursion from GWM Partner Store Rama V, and headed towards Ratchaburi province. The caravan made its first stop at RAI PLUK RAK Thai Organic Farmer to enjoy designing DIY natural tie-dye linen bags before heading to 4U restaurant to fuel the day with a delicious lunch. The caravan later continued the trip to Nang Yai Museum Wat Khanon, where the participants had a chance to create DIY mini shadow puppets.

After that, the participants arrived at the hotel to have dinner and join in a recreational activity – designing their own scent from natural petals and leaves for perfume sachets. During dinner, everyone received special cupcakes to pre-celebrate the first anniversary of the All New HAVAL H6 Hybrid SUV. On the next day, the caravan group headed to Huay Krabok Village, where the participants learned how to make ‘Ngae Pun’ a traditional Hakka Chinese dessert. Finally, the caravan made it to the next destination – Flask Café by Air Orchids to have lunch before heading back to Bangkok safe and sound.

Therefore, we are pleased to be GWM’s main partner for the GWM Life Road Trooper: ‘Driving with Young Heart, Traveling to the End of the Road’ for the second time. I strongly believe that this program, aligned with the ‘Amazing New Chapter’ concept will help boost local tourism, raise awareness on Thai arts and culture through responsible tourism and encourage the use of electric vehicles. These will contribute the tourism industry in a sustainable way.”
