The Old Swan and Minster Mill completes its brand new Minster Room
Great Hotels of the World is delighted to announce that the Old Swan and Minster Mill has unveiled The Minster Room. This brand new dining room can accommodate up to 48 guests and blends in perfectly with the picturesque gardens and 600-year-old Old Swan building. The new room perfectly combines historical details with modern touches, with a large inglenook fireplace as the focal point, and thick oak beams providing the ideal atmosphere for quality gastro countryside dining. Guests can enjoy sumptuous cuisine in the new dining room prepared by the  head chef, David Mwiti, who uses the freshest ingredients from the hotel’s own vegetable and fruit garden as well as quality produce from local food suppliers.

Palace Hotel introduces Executive Rooms
The Palace Hotel in Noordwijk has completed its renovations on the fifth floor, resulting in a new Executive Floor. The floor will now boast 17 executive bedrooms, providing the ultimate in comfort for the business traveller. These rooms will be 36m2 and will feature a separate shower and bath. They will also boast additional accessories, including unique Coco-Mat beds (which consist of four layers of natural materials), two interactive LED televisions, a Nespresso machine, work desk and a balcony offering fine views of Noordwijk. Bathrobes and slippers are also provided. The rooms are equipped according to the guidelines of Green Key, the eco label that the Palace Hotel has obtained as the first hotel to be awarded this certification in Noordwijk.

Altis Hotels introduce a free application for Iphone and Android
Altis Hotels in Lisbon have launched a free application for iPhone and Android users. The new application enables users to explore each of the Altis properties at anytime by providing detailed information, photos, news and the hotels’ special offers. Reservations can also be made through the application. Francisco Moser, Operations Director of Altis Hotels Group, comments: “With this new application, we aim to become even closer to our clients and further facilitate the booking process. Our clients are now able to access all information regarding our properties within a few clicks on their handheld device and book a stay with no hassle and in a fast, practical and secure way.”

Mandala Spa & Villas honoured with ASEAN Green Hotel Award
Mandala Spa & Villas, in the Philippines, has obtained an ASEAN Green Hotel Award 2012-2014. The hotel has been awarded for its significant and sustainable environmental policies and initiatives, as well as its consistent and notable environmentally friendly practices, since its opening as a spa in 2001 and as a wellness resort in 2004. The ASEAN Green Hotel Awards are held every two years, and reward hotels which encompass strong environmental policies and activities, use of green products, collaboration with the communities and local organisations, human resource management and more.
