GOMACAU.com and VIVA Macau, Asia’s newest airline, have entered into a strategic partnership agreement, to increase the traffic in Macau. According to the agreement, GOMACAU.com plans to offer VIVA Macau and their customers the best of Macau in terms of attractive hotel accommodation packages, events and sightseeing programmes, surface transport arrangements and content for VIVA Macau’s website and inflight magazines that will give a insiders view of the variety of choice and experience that Macau offers. The two companies plan to launch joint publicity campaigns to promote Macau on the global stage as a ‘must-visit’ destination.

Mr Jeffrey Lavender, Chief Executive Officer of GOMACAU.com, said, “We are delighted to be working so closely with VIVA Macau since both of our companies share the excitement and vision about what is happening in this rapidly emerging world-class destination.”

Mr Lavender added, “Macau is becoming one of Asia’s premier travel destinations. It is truly the right timing for GOMACAU.com to serve the booming tourism market, and become one of the most reliable and up-to-date information and booking centers for anyone wishing to visit Macau. Both VIVA Macau and GOMACAU.com are the newcomers to this growing region and our aim is to jointly work together to bring travelers, either on business or on holiday, a remarkable travel experience.”

Mr. Andrew Pyne, Chief Executive of VIVA Macau, said, “We define our mission as bringing Macau to the global stage as a ‘must-see’ destination. To achieve that goal, VIVA Macau has a commitment to always be the most affordable way of visiting Macau. Beyond the ultra low fares that we are offering to our customers at www.flyvivamacau.com, it is equally important to ensure that we have good value hotel accommodation on stream to support our objectives. GOMACAU.com has the expertise and ambition to deliver on that.”

The number of visitors to Macau has been increasing steadily towards the 22 million mark for 2006 with the opening of new casinos, hotels and resorts. The two companies will provide further boost to those numbers in 2007 developing more markets for Macau tourism beyond Greater China, the aim being to bring a more diverse mix of visitors to the city, and encouraging those who come to stay longer.
