GETTYS Hospitality design firm announces expansion and new projects in Asia

GETTYS, a leading global hospitality design, procurement, branding, and development firm, continues its growth in Asia with nine new hires and new resort projects awarded since August.

GETTYS’ most recently awarded projects within the past quarter include a collection of ten new properties spanning the entire Asia Pacific region: Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Korea, and the Philippines. These newly appointed jobs add to the growing number of completed GETTYS designed hotels and resorts already established within the Asia market. This year alone, GETTYS has grown its portfolio by thousands of guest rooms; nearly 30 food and beverage outlets; three conference centers; the largest ballroom in the Philippines; and five world-class spas.

Yunnan Great Eagle Tourism Hotel Resort Company selected GETTYS as lead designer for their latest new-build project, Great Eagle Hilton Resort located on the Fuxian Lake in China. The design work for the resort and golf club will include 330 guest rooms; several executive rooms and suites; the main lobby space; and multiple restaurants. This past summer, GETTYS also was selected to design the 870 square meter clubhouse facility adjacent to the main building.

As a result of the rapidly expanding hospitality market in the Asia Pacific region, GETTYS has added nine new members to its Hong Kong office in order to manage the firm’s current workload.

New hire, Budi Sjafii, joined GETTYS as a senior project designer in June and brings with him a strong resume of luxury experience. He has engaged in a full spectrum of architectural services, including conceptual design, construction documents, and construction administration along with regional understanding. At present, he is focusing on the Yunnan Great Eagle Hilton Resort and leading all phases of the project.

“Asia is one of our strongest areas for hospitality design and we look forward to continued growth in the future,” says Ariane Steinbeck, Principal and Managing Director at GETTYS.
