Genting Dream set to ‘light up’ Asia’s skylines

HONG KONG – Dream Cruises, the first-ever Asian luxury cruise line, unveiled a state-of-the-art LED lighting system for its inaugural ship Genting Dream that is set to astound and delight guests with a stunning symphony of spectacular illuminations.
 
Incorporating the very latest advances in technology, the sophisticated balcony-lighting system delivers breathtaking visual special-effects, bathing the hull of Genting Dream in a kaleidoscope of vibrant colour combinations.

The unique LED lighting devices were developed by Wärtsilä FUNA Group, a global technology solutions provider offering design, engineering, integration, and consulting services for entertainment, lighting and communication systems.
 
As the ultimate in luxury vacation experiences, Dream Cruises is Genting Hong Kong’s new cruise line, catering specifically to the large and rapidly growing high-end market in China and Asia. The cruise line offers inspirational luxury, which is Asian at heart and international in spirit, delivering the highest levels of onboard guest service and spacious comfort in the region.
 
Genting Dream has completed its river conveyance from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany in mid-September. The river conveyance marks the official start of Genting Dream’s journey from her birthplace in the German shipyard to her dual homeport of Hong Kong and Guangzhou (Nansha) where she will begin service on 13 November 2016.
