Galileo International announced that it has successfully concluded GDS agreements with two of the Philippines’ leading travel organizations: Warner Barnes Travel Inc. (WBTI) and Sharp Travel Services, a division of C.F. Sharp Group. Both travel organizations have signed three-year contracts with Galileo Philippines.
Both WBTI and Sharp Travel Services’ are travel agencies in the Philippines, – WBTI’s business is focused on providing travel services to corporate clients catering to business and leisure travelers and manpower agencies deploying overseas contract workers, while Sharp Travel Services’ focus is the marine market, along with other segments. Both travel companies were attracted by Galileo’s flexible and customer-oriented approach as well as its strong support capabilities.
“We were impressed by Galileo’s dedication and ability to offer us tailor-made solutions to meet our needs as well as their strong partnerships with Middle Eastern carriers,” said Engr. Fouzi Ali Bondagjy, President and Managing Director of WBTI. “We strongly believe that moving to Galileo will reinforce our company’s position in the market with the strength of the Galileo team very much complementing our own solid and reliable management team,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Sharp Travel Services team was equally impressed by Galileo’s superior back office system and comprehensive menu of products and services.
“We wanted to work with Galileo because they alone were able to display the ability to deliver not just leading edge technology but also extensive and exclusive travel content. I firmly believe that this powerful combination offers our agents a keen advantage in the marketplace and the opportunity to offer truly excellent customer service,” said Ms. Lou Banzon, Executive Vice-President for Sharp Travel.
Mr. Andrew Ling, Regional Manager, Galileo Philippines, believes the recent signing of the two GDS agreements serves as another testimonial to Galileo’s continued commitment to the dynamic Philippines travel market.
“These deals clearly highlight the strength of our integrated offering, where access to the GDS content is only part of the package,” commented Ling.
“We very much look forward to strengthening and expanding our relationship with both WBTI and Sharp Travel over the coming year,” concluded Ling.
