Travel agencies worldwide can now access Fiji Airways content via the Amadeus system.

BANGKOK, THAILAND – Amadeus, a leading technology provider for the global travel industry, and Fiji Airways, Fiji’s National Airline, announces a new contract that ensures travel agencies in the Pacific and around the world can search and book the full range of Fiji Airways fares via Amadeus.

Amadeus-connected travel agents now have access to the same range of air fares that Fiji Airways offers through all its sales channels.

Stefan Pichler, Managing Director & CEO, Fiji Airways said that Amadeus’ extensive global travel agency network covering 195 countries made them an ideal distribution partner.

“We want to put Fiji on the global map. We have to make sure that our growing network and our attractive fares are available everywhere around the globe for sale. We’re confident this new deal with the global reservation system Amadeus will boost our worldwide sales, which is a key component of our five year growth plan.”

Hazem Hussein, EVP, Airline Commercial, Amadeus Asia Pacific added, “The travel agency sales channel has never been more crucial in today’s competitive aviation landscape, especially for destination markets like Fiji. We are privileged to support Fiji Airways in their strong growth strategy.”

Amadeus plays a critical role in the distribution space with 39.9% global market share of travel agency air bookings. Over 85% of Amadeus bookings worldwide are made on airlines with which Amadeus has a content agreement.
