Expedia.com names HL Group as PR Agency of Record

Expedia.com, the world’s leading online travel agency, has announced the selection of HL Group as its public relations agency of record. HL Group will be responsible for all facets of Expedia.com’s consumer-facing public relations efforts. HL Group is part of the MDC Partners network.

Headquartered in New York, HL Group specializes in communications, marketing and strategic planning for global companies, primarily consumer, luxury lifestyle and fashion brands. Expedia.com will work with HL Group to showcase the qualities – including the world’s largest selection of flights, hotels, rental cars, and cruise options of any online travel provider; a wealth of intuitive time and money saving online tools; and the best prices – that have propelled the company to global leadership.

“Selecting HL Group as our agency of record is a natural extension of the relationship that we have built with them over the past year,” said Paul Leonard, Vice President, Brand Marketing, Expedia.com. “Hamilton South and his team have immersed themselves in our company and in our business. We have developed a strong partnership, and we believe this partnership will pay dividends for Expedia.com, our travel partners and for the millions of travelers who rely on us.”

“Expedia.com has a wealth of expertise to share with travelers, which is particularly important given the complexity of the travel marketplace,” said Hamilton South, founding partner, HL Group. “They help countless travelers cut through that clutter to book the perfect trip at the right price, every day. We’re proud to serve as their agency of record and to act as a resource for journalists and others who want to leverage Expedia’s collective intelligence.”
