Evason Ana Mandara reinvents its Beach restaurant

Upon completion, the beachfront restaurant will be transformed into a modern restaurant and lounge with four overflowing areas: an al-fresco and open-air seated patio restaurant dining; private dining room with walk-in wine cellar; a bar with cocktail tables; and an open, sandy beach area with lounge beds directly on the beach and facing the bay of Nha Trang.

NHA TRANG, Vietnam – Evason Ana Mandara, Nha Trang city’s only beachfront resort, announces renovation work on Beach restaurant, beginning September 3, 2014 and scheduled for soft re-opening in November, 2014.

The impeccably crafted Indochinese cuisine will be presented and supported by the stylish, comfortable and relaxed ambience and atmosphere. Such a venue is a first for Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas, and will be positioned exclusively to the elite travelers to and residents of Nha Trang.

Daily operations will run from 10:00 am until 11:00 pm Monday through Thursday and extended service until 1:00 am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The open-air dining has a seating capacity of 56-diners; the private dining room will accommodate up to eight persons; the beach lounge offers 10 lounge beds available for double occupancy; 11 seats are to be made available at the bar; 16 seats at coffee tables; and 26 seats in the garden lounge.

Much of the already existing structure will remain intact; the terracotta-tiled roof supported by Vietnamese teak, timber beams blend seamlessly into the decor. The natural cooling, ceiling fans and flowing sea breeze will accentuate its relaxed and authentic atmosphere. The flooring will remain natural tiling with mosaic inlays under the shelter bordered by wooden deck; the off-white walls and pillars to be accentuated by the artisanal light fixtures. The lounge area seating will be bound in glass to capitalize on natural sun and moonlight.

The a la carte menu will showcase food from Indochina and the traditional spice route of Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. Fresh skewers including local seafood from Nha Trang’s waters, homemade pizzas, regional noodle signatures, lavish main courses for sharing, Asian desserts and access to the resort’s extensive list of homemade ice cream and sorbet are just a taste of what will be served. The beverage menu will consist of the resort’s signature and classic cocktails, international and local beers, a bespoke wine list, fresh juices, aerated beverages and a hand-selected collection of spirits and liqueurs.

Entertainment will also enhance the atmosphere with DJs often on hand to raise the beat. Those seeking a beachfront venue for private functions will revel in the cozy and elegant vibe the newly crafted restaurant and lounge will provide.

As of September 3, the venue will be closed, but the beloved lunch menu will be available at Pavilion restaurant. There will be no interruption in access to the tennis court, fitness center, or meeting facilities. Guest access to these areas will be clearly marked along the beachfront and Spirit Privilege members can park and access via the Franco entrance, near the meeting facilities.

A public competition to name the revamped restaurant runs on Facebook and Twitter through Sunday, September 21. All are welcome to submit ideas using the hashtag #NameOurRestaurant.
The author of the winning name will be invited to the reopening event in November and receive a separate hosted three-course dinner with wine pairing for four persons in the private dining room. Entries must include the hashtag and be shared to the resort’s Facebook and Twitter accounts via post directly to the timeline, via direct message, or @mention.
