Seven months ago, top international mobile phone company Samsung launched a competition for developers of apps for its new platform, bada. The competition, called the “bada Developer Challenge”, consists of a number of local rounds and one international round.
Winners were anounced on December 7.
There are two applications for travelers among the winners: Travel Memoir and Toozla.
Travel Memoir took second prize in “On the road” category. Travel Memoir captures precious memories of your travel and organizes them so you can enjoy them with your family and friends. With Travel Memoir, you can create various artifacts during your travel: Photo, Video, Waypoint, Journal, and Postcard. Also, at any point during your travel, you can view all your activities through timeline view, map view, or journal view. Ability to visualize your travel in various ways makes Travel Memoir unique and fun to use.
Toozla is a Worldwide interactive audio guide.
It took third prize in “On the road” category in the global competition. Toozla is also the winner of Samsung bada Developer Challenge Russia.
Toozla is a mobile service that combines a global positioning system with audio tours and stories, user content, and local information, to give traveler an all-in-one travel guide that he can take everywhere. Why interactive? Each user can create his audio comment and anchor it to the current position, just from mobile.
