Dusit International names Senior Vice President – Hotel Operations and appoints new Group Director of Food and Beverage

Mr Douin, a French national, will lead and provide overall direction and guidance to Dusit’s business operations with the main objective of maximizing growth and profitability. Mr Pfordte, a German national, will be responsible for the Dusit group’s entire food and beverage operations.

BANGKOK – Dusit International announced the promotion of Mr Thierry Douin to Senior Vice President–Hotel Operations, and the appointment of Mr Thomas Pfordte as Group Director of Food and Beverage.
 
The selection and introduction of these two talented key executives into our management team serves to strengthen the core foundations for our future growth.  We want to ensure that we meet our operation goals to grow from operating 28 properties to 75 properties in 21 countries over the next three to five years,” commented Dusit International’s COO, Mr Lim Boon Kwee.
 
Mr Douin, a French national, will lead and provide overall direction and guidance to Dusit’s business operations with the main objective of maximizing growth and profitability.  He has over 35 years of experience within the hotel industry and has managed luxury hotels in many parts of the world, including Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Dubai, Jakarta, Yokohama, Seoul and Caracas for various groups, such as InterContinental Hotels and Resorts and Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. He joined Dusit International in March 2013 as our Regional Vice President, Middle East & Africa, and was promoted to Vice President – Operation in February 2015.
 
Mr Pfordte, a German national, will be responsible for the Dusit group’s entire food and beverage operations. He is a seasoned Food and Beverage professional who has spent more than 18 years working in senior positions within deluxe establishments throughout Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Prior to joining Dusit, he was the Group Director of Food and Beverage for Marco Polo Hotels based in Hong Kong since 2011. His past experiences also included Food and Beverage stints with the Jumeirah, Hyatt, Hilton and Regent Hotels.
