Chiva-Som voted ‘The World’s Best Destination Spa’ by Condé Nast Traveller readers

Offering a full complement of immersive activities to nourish body, mind and spirit, Chiva-Som has long impressed visitors with its personalised service and enriching overall experience.

HONG KONG – Thailand’s pioneering wellness destination Chiva-Som International Health Resort has been voted ‘The World’s Best Destination Spa’ for the third time in the Condé Nast Traveller magazine (UK edition) Readers’ Travel Awards 2016. With a staggering guest satisfaction rating of 91.15, adding to the resort’s extensive trophy cabinet: Chiva-Som is the only destination spa to have been consistently ranked as one of the top three Best Destination Spas at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Awards, since the awards launched 19 years ago.

Accepting the award is Chiva-Som Chairman and CEO Krip Rojanastien. Upon receiving the prize, Mr Rojanastien said, “It is an honour to once again be recognised by Condé Nast Traveller readers.  It is particularly gratifying that this is recognition by our loyal customers and readers of the magazine. At Chiva-Som, we pride ourselves on constantly adapting our wellness and recovery programmes in response to the modern day requirements of our guests, and we are all delighted that our pioneering work is appreciated by such a prestigious audience. In our 21st year of operation, it is due to the hard work and dedication of all our loyal and valued staff that Chiva-Som has remained one of the World’s favourite destination wellness resorts, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank them.”

The award was announced in London on Tuesday, August 30, with the luxury Health & Wellness resort in Hua Hin having celebrated its 21st anniversary earlier this year. The annual ceremony recognises worldwide excellence in the hospitality industry, and was held at Dive Bar in Ham Yard Hotel, London, England.

Offering a full complement of immersive activities to nourish body, mind and spirit, Chiva-Som has long impressed visitors with its personalised service and enriching overall experience. Earlier this year, the resort began offering five new wellness retreats, bringing the total to 13 uniquely specialised programmes for full-body care and revitalisation. With sumptuous accommodation, specially prepared organic meals, and therapeutic courses tailored to the needs of every guest, Chiva-Som’s holistic approach to health and wellness brings guests to a world of deep healing, where the body’s natural balance is restored for lasting benefit. The seven-acre property in Hua Hin encompasses tropical gardens as well as a quiet beach setting that overlooks the Gulf of Thailand, just 185km south of Bangkok.
