The movers and shakers of China’s travel and tourism industry came together for a night of celebration at the inaugural TTG China Travel Awards which honoured 39 best performing travel trade organisations operating within China that have left an indelible impact on the industry.Held at Hyatt on the Bund Shanghai, the gala event was attended by over 400 esteemed travel trade professionals.
With the recent rapid advancement of China’s travel and tourism industry, it stemmed a need for recognition of China’s best performing organisations. This has resulted in the first TTG China Travel Awards, which was modeled after the coveted annual TTG Travel Awards. The TTG Travel Awards has been honouring the best in Asia Pacific’s travel and tourism organisations for the past 18 years, and is now regarded as the most coveted and influential awards in the region’s industry.
The TTG China Travel Awards will be an annual affair.
This year’s awards covers 6 categories, with 39 awards in total. The complete list of winners for the TTG China Travel Awards 2008 is detailed in Annex A.
All readers of TTG China, TTG-BTmice China, TTG Asia and TTGmice were invited to vote for their favourite travel and tourism organisations, spanning over a period of two months, from January to end February. More then 12, 600 TTG readers across the Asia Pacific participated in the voting exercise this year.

It is also an opportune time to recognise some of China’s exemplary travel trade organisations that have shown great aptitude in their industry, the highest quality service standards and products.
