FRANKFURT, Germany – China Southern Airlines, the largest airline in The People’s Republic of China, is pleased to announce launch of new service between Guangzhou – Changsha – Frankfurt.

The new service marks the first cross-continent flight within Hunan Province and is a landmark opening of air service from Central South China to Germany.

The route will operate each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, arriving in Germany at 06:00 the following day.

A city of seven million people, Changsha is also the departure point for visits to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, home of the impressive mountain columns that inspired the fictional universe of Pandora in James Cameron’s 3D blockbuster movie, Avatar.

Frankfurt is now China Southern Airlines sixth European destination, alongside Amsterdam, London, Paris, Moscow and Istanbul and will be serviced by a four-class A330-200 offering flatbed seating in First and Business Class and personal seatback TV screens throughout.

From its hub at Baiyun International Airport Guangzhou, China Southern’s Canton Route reaches close to 200 destinations in 35 countries and more than 150 Chinese cities through the world’s most extensive domestic network.
