Biman Airlines adds additional flight from Abu Dhabi to Chittagong-Dhaka

Abu Dhabi Airports Company and Biman Airlines announced an increase in flight frequency for the airline from Abu Dhabi International Airport, starting from 19th December 2011. Bangladesh’s national airline, Biman, has added one weekly flight from Abu Dhabi to Chittagong-Dhaka bringing the total flights to Chittagong-Dhaka to four weekly flights, while also operating one weekly flight to Sylhet-Dhaka from Abu Dhabi.

The flight frequency increase came as a response to the growing demand for more flights to and from Bangladesh.  Commenting on this new development, Ahmed Al Haddabi, Chief Operating Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) said: “The constant development of the airport’s airline partners out of Abu Dhabi International Airport is a clear indication of the level of growth that the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is experiencing.  ADAC is delighted to see that its airline partners are expanding their services to meet the passengers’ growing demand.”

“ADAC is strongly committed to support such initiatives, which will assist us in offering our customers with more choices, and therefore, enable us to reach our goal in becoming a leading world class airport,” he added.

Dilip Kumar Chowdhury, Regional Manager of Biman in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, commented: “Biman is proud to announce the increase in flight frequency, which reflects our confidence in the Abu Dhabi market and the level of services which have been made available to us by Abu Dhabi Airports Company.  Abu Dhabi is one of our most attractive destinations and we work closely with ADAC to expand our portfolio of services and ultimately meeting our customers’ needs.”
