Best Western makes it 5 years running as Best Mid-Range Hotel brand

Best Western International – The World’s Largest Hotel Chain – has been voted Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand at the 22nd Annual TTG Travel Awards 2011.

It’s the fifth consecutive year Best Western has won the title. The chain was also named winner of the Best Marketing & Development Effort of the Year award, the third year running it has held this title.

Both awards were presented at the 22nd Annual TTG Travel Awards 2011 Ceremony & Gala Dinner, staged on Thursday 6th October at Centara Grand & Bangkok Conventions Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.

Best Western is the only hotel company to have won the Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand award since it was introduced in 2007. The chain also has an exclusive hold on the Best Marketing & Development Effort of the Year title, now for three consecutive years.

The annual TTG Travel Awards recognize outstanding performance in the travel industry. The Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand award was voted on this year by the readers of TTG Asia, TTG China, TTG India, TTGmice and TTG-BTmice China. The recipient of Best Marketing & Development Effort of the Year is chosen by the TTG Asia editorial team.

“Being selected as winners for these awards year after year is a true honour, and each year it is a more rewarding achievement for the chain. This is a significant success for us as it never gets easier to win these titles. Every year the level of competition increases so does our commitment to our guests and the travel and tourism industry,” said Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations for Asia & the Middle East, Glenn de Souza.
