Bali venue hosts food, hotel and tourism exhibition

The 2010 Food, Hotel and Tourism exhibition runs from Thursday March 11th to Saturday March 13th at the Bali International Convention Centre (BICC) in Nusa Dua. With the island recently being named the best spa destination in the world, Bali’s status as an international tourist destination is continuing to grow. This exhibition aims to celebrate and build on that success by bringing members of the industry together to showcase their products and services.

Two events are expected to be particular highlights for people involved with hotels in Bali – the Salon Culinaire chefs’ competition and the wine-testing session hosted by Spanish expert Jorge Padilla. Salon Culinaire runs throughout the exhibition and will feature top chefs from the island competing in categories such as fruit and vegetable carving, dressing cakes and Indonesian style cooking.

Situated at the southern tip of Bali, the BICC features 17 meeting rooms and 2,700 square metres of exhibition space. Nusa Dua is located about ten kilometres from Bali’s international airport and can be reached from the popular beach resorts of Kuta and Seminyak in about 25 minutes.
