Aviareps starts international management trainee program

Aviareps has recently started an international management trainee program. It is a contribution of Aviareps towards securing young talents for the future. Each year one or two very dedicated graduates in international business with a major in aviation or tourism get the chance to take part in the 18- to 36-month program. To qualify for the program, candidates must speak fluent English and a second foreign language as well, and show good intercultural skills.

The program starts with a brief introductory phase at the Aviareps head quarters in Germany, followed by a familiarization with the operational processes in customer relations, sales, marketing, business development, revenue management, corporate finance, and human resources. The trainees receive at least two or three 6-month assignments abroad at one of Aviareps’s 40 subsidiaries. The trainees will have a good amount of responsibility in the tasks they are assigned. They will also have a board member as a personal mentor as well as another contact person at their side throughout the program to help them deal with the challenges they face. The trainees receive personal guidance and encouragement in their development tailored to their needs, giving them the tools they need to become successful future managers on an international level.

“With our new international trainee program we are targeting high-performance university graduates worldwide who wish to gain international work experience. It is very important to us that candidates be enthusiastic about our company and our services,” says Rainer Kothe, CFO and Corporate Affairs Officer at Aviareps.

The next one or two trainees are scheduled to start on 1 August, 2010.
