AVANI adds first hotel in Thailand – AVANI Atrium Bangkok

The hotel has 568 guest rooms and suites in a range of categories and sizes that are designed with every travel style in mind. Guests can rest easy knowing that all the modern conveniences are provided in their rooms to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

BANGKOK – AVANI Hotels & Resorts, the vibrant upscale brand launched by Thailand-based Minor Hotel Group in 2011, has added its first hotel in Thailand – AVANI Atrium Bangkok. Located in a busy commercial and retail area in the Asoke-Sukhumvit area of the Thai capital, the hotel appeals to business and leisure guests who appreciate a prime location, a passion for design and a relaxing stay.

Previously operating as Atrium Bangkok, the property has undergone a USD eight million refurbishment over the past 12 months which has included guest rooms and suites, public areas including restaurants and bars and the 12-storey atrium lobby which now showcases a striking six metre high artwork. Now rebranded as AVANI Atrium Bangkok, the hotel blends contemporary style and an upbeat vibe, Thai hospitality with professional and welcoming services, plus AVANI’s signature hallmarks for sleep satisfaction, a lifestyle zone, honest food and a warm welcome.

The hotel has 568 guest rooms and suites in a range of categories and sizes that are designed with every travel style in mind. Guests can rest easy knowing that all the modern conveniences are provided in their rooms to make their stay as comfortable as possible. AVANI prides itself on a great night’s sleep by offering essential comforts and amenities.

The top levels of the 23-storey hotel are Executive Floors, with guest rooms and suites boasting 40” LCD TV’s plus DVD player and upgraded amenities, in addition to Executive Lounge access for breakfast, complimentary evening cocktails and canapes, and other executive privileges.

A Design for Life living space is signature to AVANI, and the hotel’s atrium lobby creates an impressive central area for the trendy lifestyle hub. Social and private spaces mean guests can interact, catch up with friends, meet for business or just enjoy some time out. A Connect zone makes it easy to email, chat online, surf the web, print boarding passes or charge up a device. Ideally located in this communal living area, Pantry is a casual venue serving drinks, snacks and light meals, either to eat in or grab on the go.

AVANI’s refreshing approach to honest food focuses on freshness, flavour and vitality, and at AVANI Atrium Bangkok options to sip, snack, wine or dine come without any hassle or fuss. Guests can chill out by the pool with refreshments, eat whenever they like at PUBLIC, the all day dining restaurant, kick back with daytime drinks, pre-dinner cocktails and nightcaps at Pantry or simply order room service. Benihana, the famous Japanese teppanyaki restaurant, will add an exciting eastern dimension when it opens in early 2015.

An AVANI stay is all about guests enjoying what matters most to them. Well-rounded leisure facilities allow travellers to cool off with a dip in the pool, or top up their tan on a lounger. Parents can take a break watching little ones play in the children’s pool. Those with stress or energy to burn can stay in shape at the gym or aerobics studio – then relax afterwards in the steam and sauna. A busy day of sightseeing or meetings can be followed by a massage or beauty salon pampering.

Guests can call upon the concierge 24 hours a day, visit the tour desk to plan days and evenings out in and around the city. Babysitting is also available to help take the stress out of a family holiday.

Corporate guests benefit from seven meeting, boardroom, function and ballroom venues that cater for 10 to 400 people, with flexible layouts and seating options, the latest audio-visual equipment and a host of supporting services.

Getting to and from AVANI Atrium Bangkok is easy. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus service to Makkasan Station just over a kilometre away, which operates an Airport Rail Link to Suvarnabhumi International Airport every hour between 6:00am and 9:00pm daily. The hotel is also well placed for expressway access to Bangkok’s two airports, as well as popular parts of the city. Just a 10 minute walk away, the MRT subway station links to the BTS sky train system, connecting to everything Bangkok has to offer.

Dillip Rajakarier, CEO Minor Hotel Group, commented, “We are excited to add Thailand to the growing list of countries our upscale AVANI brand is present in, which is now five and a total of seven properties. For Minor Hotel Group introducing our newest brand to our home market of Bangkok was very important to us and we are confident that AVANI is a great fit in this vibrant city.”
