Australia’s first Holiday Inn Express welcomes first guests

Holiday Inn Express Sydney Macquarie Park marks the launch of the fourth brand in Australia complementing IHG’s InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotel brands, bringing the total network number to 26.

SINGAPORE – InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened Holiday Inn Express Sydney Macquarie Park, the first in a portfolio of 15 Holiday Inn Express hotels to be opened in Australia in partnership with Pro-invest
 
With its modern, sophisticated interior by international designer Joseph Pang – designer of InterContinental Sydney and InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto rooms – Holiday Inn Express Sydney Macquarie Park’s 198 hotel rooms and open spaces are functional, yet comfortable for guests to work, meet, relax and unwind in.
 
Rooms have been carefully considered to ensure they offer everything required for a great hotel stay: a comfy bed and pillows, multiple USB and power points to accommodate modern technology needs, smart TV’s, streamlined work spaces, and slick bathrooms with modern walk-in showers.
 
In addition to its Great Room communal public space where guests will enjoy their free breakfast, meet, work or relax, the hotel also offers a fitness room, internal laundry, meeting room and adjoining café Glass House Dining. A Grab & Go breakfast option is also available for busy travellers on the run.
 
While the hotel is ideally positioned within walking distance to two train stations, in the centre of the Macquarie Park business precinct, via an exclusive partnership with GoGet car sharing service Holiday Inn Express Sydney Macquarie Park guests can sign up to the service and access to two vehicles conveniently based onsite.

Holiday Inn Express Brisbane Spring Hill will open late 2016, followed by Holiday Inn Express Adelaide Hindley Street in 2017 and Holiday Inn Express Melbourne Southbank in 2018, with a number of other locations in the pipeline.
