- Visitor arrivals to the Asia Pacific region are projected to increase from 521 million in 2014 to 670 million in 2018, with an average annual growth rate of 6.5%.
- Arrivals from the Russian Federation to Asia Pacific are forecast to surpass the 10-million mark by end of 2016 from just below 6 million in 2013 with Thailand, China and Cambodia registering as the top 3 destination choices.
- The Asia Pacific region will continue to enjoy an upsurge in arrivals from Korea (ROK) across-the-board with a few exceptions. By the end of 2016, total Korean arrivals to the region are predicted to jump across the 20-million barrier and thus overtaking Japan’s numbers.
