Ascott opens Asia’s first unique luxury property under the Crest Collection

Located in Thonglor, Bangkok’s most sought-after residential district, Metropole brings a touch of European charm to the heart of Bangkok.

SINGAPORE – CapitaLand’s wholly owned serviced residence business unit, The Ascott Limited (Ascott), has opened Metropole Bangkok, Asia’s first unique luxury serviced residence under The Crest Collection. Each property in The Crest Collection has a distinctive character which epitomises European elegance and grandeur.

Located in Thonglor, Bangkok’s most sought-after residential district, Metropole brings a touch of European charm to the heart of Bangkok. The exclusive serviced residence features a colonial architecture and an infusion of neoclassicism design with Thai elegance.

Mr Jean Keijdener, Ascott’s Country General Manager for Thailand, said: “Metropole is the only property in Asia and one of four in the world handpicked to be part of the prestigious Crest Collection. Choosing Bangkok to debut our first Crest Collection property in the region is testament to Ascott’s commitment to Thailand. Bangkok is one of Asia’s most dynamic cities and Thonglor is its most vibrant area, home to the city’s trendiest dining and entertainment options. Metropole is a masterpiece that combines period elegance with contemporary comforts while offering expatriates and travellers unprecedented personalised service. Staying in Metropole is an experience like no other.”

Mr Keijdener added: “After operating in Thailand for more than 10 years with our three well-known brands – Ascott, Citadines and Somerset, we found this unique beauty that is befitting of The Crest Collection. Metropole is a landmark addition that will elevate the living experience of serviced residences in Bangkok. With Ascott’s strong expertise in managing award-winning properties in some of the finest locations worldwide, I am confident that Metropole will be an extraordinary place for our guests to call home.”

Metropole is surrounded by trendy restaurants and cafes, fashionable retail outlets, popular lifestyle malls as well as glamorous bars and clubs. Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok’s main business and entertainment district, and Bangkok Hospital, an international medical centre, are a short drive away. Thonglor skytrain station is a 10-minute drive away, providing residents with easy access to various tourist attractions and major industrial estates in Eastern Thailand.

The luxury serviced residence offers 116 spacious apartments with a choice of studio or one-bedroom apartment and some units also come with a private balcony. The apartments provide the ultimate in homely comfort, where residents can enjoy a quiet respite in the privacy of their room, lounge and entertain guests at the living and dining areas, or whip up some home-cooked meals at the fully-equipped kitchen. Meticulously designed with sophistication, luxurious furnishings and fine amenities, each apartment features high ceiling and most of them have large floor-to-ceiling windows that offer remarkable views of the city.

To relax and unwind, Metropole provides guests with facilities such as a swimming pool, a fitness centre with cold onsen, a restaurant with an outdoor dining area and residents’ lounge.

For guests’ convenience, the serviced residence also offers additional services including laundry, dry cleaning and meal delivery.

Besides Metropole in Bangkok, Ascott’s three other serviced residences under The Crest Collection are located in Paris, France. La Clef Louvre and La Clef Tour Eiffel are operational while La Clef Champs-Elysees is slated to open in 2018.
