AirAsia X unveiled a new product offering Guests’ Seamless Transit and Connecting Convenience between the Long-haul and Short-haul Network.
KUALA LUMPUR– AirAsia X, AirAsia’s long haul subsidiary proposes now a Fly-Thru Service across AirAsia’s domestic sectors in Malaysia. The service is available since June 27. The launch of the new service across domestic sectors facilitates a more convenient transit process for connecting guests across all AirAsia X destinations via its hub in Kuala Lumpur to selected domestic network in Malaysia.
The enhanced Fly-Thru service is available for all AirAsia X destinations departing from its long haul destinations from China, Taiwan, Australia, Korea and Japan to selected domestic destinations in Malaysia including Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. Similarly guests from the new domestic Fly-Thru destinations may also book Fly Thru and connect directly to their final destinations across Australia, China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan via its hub in Kuala Lumpur Low Cost Carrier Terminal.
“With the implementation of the fly-thru services across our domestic network in Malaysia, AirAsia X guests need only clear immigration upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur low cost carrier terminal, and directly proceed to the domestic gate without the hassle of checking in their luggage twice in order to connect to their onward domestic destination in Malaysia“explained Azran Osman-Rani, CEO of AirAsia X.
“Our aim is to ensure seamless travel for connecting guests who prefer to transit in Kuala Lumpur and travel with us to other destinations between the AirAsia X and AirAsia network. The addition of our domestic routes in Malaysia on our Fly Thru service radar would further boost tourism traffic into the country and further promote our popular travel destinations such as Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching, offering guests transit convenience within our group network,” added Azran.
In conjunction with the newly added domestic destinations onto our Fly Thru network, AirAsia X will be offering fares from as low as MYR379 one way from AirAsia X destinations (Australia, Korea, Taiwan, China, Japan) to Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. The promotional offer is available for online bookings until July 8, 2012.
AirAsia X’s Fly-Thru service allows guests to conveniently book a connecting flight under one booking itinerary. Connecting guest’s check in luggage(s) will be tagged and transferred directly to the final destination. Guests will be able to connect within a shorter time period, with the exemption of transit visas.
