From Kuala Lumpur, travellers can connect to various domestic and international destinations including Kota Kinabalu, Penang, Langkawi, Bali, Singapore and Phuket.

Together with the Manila – Hong Kong flights that have resumed earlier, seats are now open for sale and can be booked via the AirAsia Super App as well as the AirAsia website. One-way all-in fare of HKG – KUL direct flight is starting from HK988 only, with the travel date from July 3, 2022 onwards.

Riad Asmat, CEO of AirAsia Malaysia, said: “The resumption of flights between Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong has also been much awaited by the airline and guests alike. We aim to work closely with the local authorities to bring opportunity and support economic recovery in both regions.”

AirAsia guests are always assured of the stringent health and safety protocols enforced on our flights. Our highly trained and fully vaccinated crew will continue to deliver the world’s best service that you expect and deserve from us.”

Tan Mei Leng, Director of Tourism Malaysia of Hong Kong, said: “We are delighted to hear that AirAsia will resume flights from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur in July, and deeply value the confidence and support from AirAsia.

Malaysia opened its borders to all travellers on April 1 this year to allow quarantine-free travel, and on May 1, the country further removed all mandatory pre-departure and on-arrival tests including insurance for all incoming vaccinated travellers. Malaysia is now well prepared and ready to welcome back foreign tourists.”

Effective 1 May 2022, non-resident travellers who are fully vaccinated are allowed to enter Hong Kong under the same conditions as the Hong Kong residents. For entering Malaysia, fully vaccinated travellers are exempted from the pre-departure test, and Covid-19 insurance is no longer required. Partially vaccinated / unvaccinated travellers are required to undergo a supervised RTK-AG test within 24 hours of arrival and are required to undergo 5-days quarantine at their place of residence.

Guests are strongly advised to check the conditions and requirements imposed by the authorities before purchasing any flights and upon arrival. Please read the latest travel advisory here for more information on AirAsia’s safety measures and travel SOPs.
