Air France started operating a new service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle 2 and Bangalore five times weekly on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Airbus A 330-200 will be flying this route. Starting on 19 February 2006, passengers on this route will benefit from the new Air France cabin interiors.

With 35 weekly flights this winter, covering a network of 5 cities in India, Air France is strengthening its position in this fast-growing region both in terms of economy and tourism.

After Delhi and Mumbai, respectively India`s capital and economic centre, Air France is now extending its services in Southern India to Chennai (flight operated in code-share with Delta), Hydrabad (operated by KLM) and now Bangalore (operated by Air France).

Southern India is a key sector of the country`s economic development and a very popular destination for tourists.
