The global association with members in 100 countries announced its Asia Regional Council for 2014. According to the association’s Executive Director Greeley Koch, this year’s council represents more countries throughout the region and reflects a growing reliance on ACTE programs.
“ACTE is changing the way companies travel, the way travel managers think, and the way companies and travellers benefit,” said Greeley Koch, ACTE’s executive director. “We’re doing it through the vision of gifted volunteers, like the professionals who are serving on the association’s Asia Regional Council.”
ACTE’s new Asia Regional Council Members are:

• Elaine Huang, Category Manager (GCR) Travel, Microsoft (China)
• Aditya Loomba, Director, ECO Rent A Car (India)
• Christian Lukey, Commercial Director, HRS (Singapore)
• Michael Molloy, Global Category Principal, Rio Tinto (Singapore)
• Andy Tan, VP Global Preferred Customers, Pan Pacific Hotels Group (Singapore)
• Hiromi Tometaka, Head of Corp Services, Societe Generale (Japan)
The Asia Regional Council convenes every two months to consider issues of traveler engagement, new developments, and how to bring additional value to ACTE membership benefits. The recent surge in ACTE membership within the Asia region (144 percent in early January) has placed a higher emphasis on the group’s culturally-renown conference agendas.
“These are exciting times for this council and all ACTE members,” said Koch. “Earlier this week, ACTE announced that it’s 13th Annual Asia Travel Conference would be held in Hong Kong for 2014 (6 August – 7 August 2014), and that it would be structured on the new “Four Pillars” approach to advanced travel management education and training. The “Four Pillars” constitute separate but equally critical areas of significance. They are Data and Analytics; Industry Innovations; Professional Development For You; and Traveller Centricity,” added Koch.
