According to ATOR Analytical Service the Russian market got a chance to take the 2nd place after the Germans in the rating of the arrivals to Czech Republic. The Russian tourist flow increased by 26.6% during 12 months of 2010. The number of the nights in the hotels increased by 25.4%. However, despite the high indicators, the general dynamics of number of the tourists was still negative in comparison with 2008.
So, last year Russia took the 2nd place in number of arrivals with the share of 6.5%. It’s interesting to note that the year before the Russians took only the 5th place with the share of 5.4%.
As for the number of the nights in Czech hotels, the Russian market also took the 2nd place in 2010 with the share of 11.4%. The average duration of stay of the Russians in Czech Republic amounted to 5 nights during 12 months of 2010. It should be noted that more than 82% of the Russians stayed in the hotels of Prague and Karlovy Vary. Moreover, every 4th night of the guests in the hotels of Karlovy Vary is the Russian one.
