Chiba Aqualine Marathon 2016 slated for Oct. 23

Both runners and supporters can enjoy events filled with Chiba attractions

CHIBA, Japan – “Chiba Aqualine Marathon 2016” was held in Kisarazu and Sodegaura cities, Chiba Prefecture, on October 23, 2016.
 
Approximately 17,000 runners from Japan and overseas ran on the Tokyo Bay Aqua-line Expressway, which crosses the Tokyo Bay and commands a panoramic view of the sea and sky, amid a sea breeze.
 
A Wheelchair Half-marathon was also held during the upcoming third event in addition to full and half marathon runs. Visitors can enjoy local specialties and cuisine in an area where stalls will be set up as well as various events on a special stage at the scene.

  • (2) Half-marathon & wheelchair marathon
  • Starting point: in front of Shiohama Park in Kisarazu
  • Goal: Ushigome Fishing Port in Kisarazu
