THAI marks 55th anniversary with “Warming Your Hearts Under the Wings of THAI”

A total of 55 groups of flying enthusiasts will get an opportunity to fly in the Company’s flight simulators on 2 May 2015, for one day only.

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) is organizing the “Warming Your Hearts Under the Wings of THAI” event to mark THAI’s 55th anniversary, whereby a total of 55 groups of flying enthusiasts will get an opportunity to fly in the Company’s flight simulators on 2 May 2015, for one day only.

Squadron Leader Sathaporn Charoensiri, THAI Executive Vice President, Operations Department, said the Company is offering an opportunity for flying enthusiasts to experience THAI’s simulators, following the successful outcome of a similar event held earlier in February. As there has been a great interest to experience flight simulator training, the Company will organize the “Warming Your Hearts Under the Wings of THAI” event to celebrate its 55th anniversary that takes place on 1 May 2015. Customers can fly a simulator, at no more than three persons per group, for 55 groups, whereby simulator training will take 30 minutes per group. Upon completion of the training, customers will receive certificates placed in a leather folder and embossed with THAI’s 55th anniversary emblem. The flight simulator experience event will take place on 2 May 2015 at 09:00-17:00 hours at THAI’s Head Office, Building 5.

The Company has arranged for captains who are pilot instructors, experienced in instructing pilots on an individual basis, to conduct the flight simulator training on the Boeing 747-400, Boeing 777-200/300, Boeing 737-400, Airbus A380-800, Airbus A340-500/600, Airbus A330-300, and Airbus A300-600.

Customers who participate in the “Warming Your Hearts Under the Wings of THAI” event will be entertained throughout the day, with music performed by musically-talented captains, pilots, and cabin crew. There will also be a fashion show of THAI pilot and cabin crew uniforms from the past to present day, a sale of souvenir items, commemorative photo opportunities, and watercolor paintings presented to customers as souvenirs.
