HONG KONG – Star Cruises, the leading cruise line in Asia-Pacific, invites everyone to celebrate the launch of SuperStar Gemini with “Twins ToWin”, a search for the most likeable photos of twins across the globe. SuperStar Gemini, named after the Greek mythological and zodiac twins, is eager to welcome and share her voyage fun with her fellow twins after her upcoming US$ 50 million multi-faceted major refurbishment.

Ten pairs of winning twins will be selected through public voting and Star Cruises’ judging, inviting them to experience SuperStar Gemini from Sanya or Shanghai, as part of the vessel’s inaugural cruise series.

Twins from all over the world, regardless of gender, nationality and age, are invited to upload their most likeable photos & stand a chance to free cruises from either Sanya or Shanghai onboard SuperStar Gemini. Entrants should visit www.starcruises.comtwinstowin to register and upload their pictures from now to 1 Nov, 2012. Only one picture will be allowed per each pair of twin. Star Cruises will select 20 finalist twins for public online voting and final screening by a panel of judges from 14 Nov to 28 Nov, 2012. The top 10 twins will be announced on 5 December, 2012 and will be invited for cruising with SuperStar Gemini in either Sanya or Shanghai of their choice.

The 50,764-tonnage SuperStar Gemini will commence her inaugural cruises from Jan 2013, starting with deployments from Penang (2-24 Jan), a 7 days / 6 nights special cruise (24 Jan–1 Feb) to Singapore / Ho Chi Minh City / Nha Trang / Hong Kong; and from Sanya (1 Feb–31 March). From April to Oct 2013, the vessel will commence her summer homeport deployment in Shanghai offering over 30 cruises in 4D3N to 7D6N itineraries to a number of highly popular destinations in North Asia.

SuperStar Gemini’s US$50 million refurbishment will include upgraded navigational systems, new hull artwork and onboard facilities, including cabins, restaurants, entertainment and recreational venues, retail & bodycare outlets. The vessel will also immerse guests in a resort-at-sea environment with a shopping haven that promises a broad range of upmarket duty-free wristwatches, jewellery and handbags amidst idyllic and blissful cruise voyages.
