Quest Potts Point named as a finalist in the City of Sydney Business Awards

Quest Potts Point has been named as a finalist in the City of Sydney Business Awards – Luxury, Deluxe & Boutique Accommodation category. The successful serviced apartment business was announced as one of five finalists selected from the fifteen nominees competing for the coveted title. The winner will be revealed at the Awards Gala Dinner on October 20 at Sheraton on the Park.

Deluxe & Boutique Accommodation is one of 24 categories honoured by the City of Sydney Business Awards, and is open to four and five star boutique properties. Entrants were evaluated on: industry leadership; evidence of business success; planning and community participation; as well as evidence of environmental sustainability planning.

Alison Hosman, Quest Potts Point Sales and Marketing Manager, said Quest Potts Point, formerly the Storrier Hotel, transformed its original art deco apartment block to create a series of visually stunning, interesting spaces and uniquely shaped suites.

“We’ve made a conscious effort to ensure that no two serviced apartment suites are the same. Our studios and suites are warm shades of chocolate and muted caramel, punctuated with black and white fabrics.  The essentials for a comfortable stay are abundant and include LCD flat screen televisions, iPod docking stations, Queen-size Serene Sleep beds and kitchenette facilities throughout,” she said.

Property management has also focused on activating energy efficiency and waste and water minimisation systems.  As a result, the property has been granted an AAA Eco Friendly Star Accreditation for environmental best practice.

“Quest Potts Point has made it a priority to implement water-saving devices, rolled out guest education collateral and uses environmentally friendly products throughout all 68 apartments,” Ms. Hosman said.

Supporting the local community is also of paramount importance to Quest Potts Point.

“We’re currently involved with the Potts Point & Kings Cross Partnerships that work to improve the presentation of the area.  Over the next two years, we’ll continue to support local developments, including the Springfield Square and King’s Cross Partnerships,” she said.

The City of Sydney Business Awards offers small to medium sized enterprises the opportunity to promote, market and network within the Local Government & Shires Associations of NSW (LGA).  All submissions are judged by an independent panel specialising in innovation, small business and sustainability including representatives from ANZ, the City of Sydney Engagement Unit, Hayes Knight Institute, and Environment Australia.
