REPORT – PATTAYA – IT&CMA 2006: For the 14th year in the row the international exhibition IT&CMA (Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia) and for 9th year in the row the CTW (Corporate Travel World) Asia Pacific are showcasing the MICE Industry’s high potential in the Asia- Pacific region.
IT&CMA has a double role. Promotes Asia-Pacific worldwide and hosts buyers from all around the world. CTW which takes place jointly with IT&CMA for the last three years is focused on corporate travel and meetings especially for Asia-Pacific region.
Both exhibitions are strictly addressed to professionals with a hosted buyer program in which convention planners and incentives are participating as well as travel managers of big corporations. India buyers have the biggest share of the pie with 27 representatives while the biggest participation of travel managers comes from Singapore with 25 representatives. New participations are those of Luxemburg and Ukraine, while Greece is represented this year by two companies Pros in Motion and Next Generation in events management and convention & incentives planners.
As far as the exhibitors are concerned, Turkey and India are participating for the first time among the 270 corporate and national participations from 30 countries while the biggest presence has Thailand with 41 co-exhibitors.
This year’s event with the double meaning is themed “Pure Magic: A World of Incentives”. Parallel to the exhibition activities the organizing authority TTG Asia Media PTE LTD has prepared many events and is cooperating with SKAL International which has its global convention in Pattaya during next week.
The rest of the exhibition days, new trends and issues noticed in the MICE Industry such as the combination of conventions and casinos, responsible incentives, organization management and their conventions, corporate jets, luxury travel as well as the effect of the new huge aircrafts A380 market are going to be presented.
