Tiger Airways: Punctual and popular since resumption of services

Tiger Airways Australia is pleased to report strong punctuality and popularity for flights since resuming domestic services on 12 August 2011. The airline’s recent track record takes it to the top of the major domestic airlines for on time performance and completion, which in turn is having a positive knock on effect with strong forward bookings.

Vanessa Regan, Tiger Airways Head of Marketing and Communications, says that one month on from resumption of services and the airline is on track to deliver what it said it would.

Since the airline returned to Australian skies, Tiger Airways Australia has achieved over 96% on time performance, 100% completion (no flight cancellations) and enjoyed strong demand for its flights with an average load factor of close to 80% for all available seats.

“Australians already love our low fares, testament to this is the 7 million passengers we have carried in just over three years,” said Ms Regan. “We are committed to providing Australia with safe, affordable and reliable air travel.

“Throughout July, we took the opportunity to review every aspect of our operation, listening to our customers and refining the product to better meet their needs.”

With four popular routes currently on sale (between Melbourne and Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Perth), the airline has indicated its ongoing commitment to reinstating other popular core routes gradually based on customer demand as well as maintaining its focus on delivering enhanced reliability.

“We are earmarking a return to a number of other popular destinations around Australia, which we will announce soon,” said Ms Regan.
