Tiger Airways announces further growth with 10th aircraft for Australia

Tiger Airways Australia`s 10th A320 aircraft will arrive in Australia during December. The new aircraft will allow Tiger Airways to increase flight frequencies on popular summer destinations to and from Melbourne before the busy holiday period.

Tiger Airways Australia Managing Director, Crawford Rix, says that the 8th Melbourne-based aircraft is a welcome addition to the fleet.

“The 10th Australian aircraft will provide almost half a million additional low priced seats through Victoria annually and will create more than thirty new employment positions for the State,” he said.

With the latest aircraft delivery, Tiger Airways will increase flight frequency and offer even more low fares from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) to popular summer holiday destinations, including Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Perth and Hobart, when the aircraft commences operations.

This additional capacity is in addition to the almost 400 weekly flights currently on sale to and from Victoria at Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) and Avalon Airport.
