Some of the region’s best hotel sales talent was recognised last weekend at InterContinental Hotels Group’s Regional Sales Conference, held at Crowne Plaza Terrigal.
Themed ‘Together We’re Stronger’, the conference saw over 120 sales managers from InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Fiji coming together as a group, for three days of education, strategic planning, networking, team building and fun.
The conference presented an opportunity for the Group to recognise the achievements and successes of individuals and teams throughout the past twelve months, with over a dozen accolades being awarded over the course of the conference.
“Our portfolio growth and hotel performance over the past twelve months has been strong. The Regional Sales Conference was an opportunity for us to celebrate that success, and recognise exceptional achievements of some of the ‘best in the business’,” said InterContinental Hotels Group’s Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific, Jolyon Bulley.
Top honours went to the Group’s Business Development Director Commercial, Veronique Domin. In addition to taking the award for Team Player of the Year, Veronique was recognised as the Group’s Salesperson of the Year in Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific.
The Crowne Meetings Team at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach was recognised as the Group’s Hotel Sales Team of the Year in the region, for the exceptional results they have achieved over the past 12 months through cohesive teamwork, cooperation and trust with customers and colleagues.
The award for Revenue Generator of the Year went to Crowne Plaza Auckland’s Business Development Director, Linda Collis. Linda was recognised for exceeding the revenue performance goals through diligent strategic management of her revenue plan and partnership with clients.
“To have received recognition for excellence among such a talented and driven group of sales professionals is an achievement in itself. I personally congratulate all of our sales staff—not only those who received awards, but to all who have made such an important contribution to our business over the past twelve months, demonstrating that together we really are stronger,” Mr Bulley said.
