Australia’s favourite holiday parks announced amid boom in popularity

The latest summer edition of Holidays with Kids magazine – Australia’s top selling family travel magazine, with more than 600,000 readers – reveals the top holiday parks for 2014 in each State and the NT as voted by readers.

Australia’s most popular holiday parks for 2014 have been announced by Holidays with Kids magazine, which has tracked a resurgence in popularity for a mode of holiday more popular than ever for families.

Australians submitted a record number of nominations for Holidays with Kids magazine’s annual Reader’s Choice Awards for the most popular holiday parks across Australia, with the flood of votes allowing separate ‘top five’ lists for Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

“Australian families love holiday parks more than ever,” said Holidays with Kids editor in chief, Cathy Wagstaff, who said the increasing quality of parks’ facilities was behind the boom. “Holiday parks today boast deluxe villas, spa sanctuaries for parents, quality restaurants, elaborate waterplay areas, interactive playgrounds, mini cinemas, lagoon pools, waterfalls, bike tracks and eco programs for kids and they offer families excellent value for money so their rising popularity is no surprise,” Ms Wagstaff said.
