X2 Residences projects scoop three highly recommended awards at the Thailand Property Awards 2012

X2 Residences Koh Kood, Koh Samui and Kui Buri (Hua Hin) projects were recently awarded accolades at the Thailand Property Awards 2012 at a gala dinner event at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok.

BANGKOK – Projects of X2 Residences Koh Kood, Koh Samui and Kui Buri (located in Hua Hin), part of the Astudo Development Group, have been awarded Highly Recommended accolades at the Thailand Property Awards 2012, at a recent gala dinner event at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok.

X2 Residences Koh Kood was nominated and shortlisted in the Best Residential Interior Design category while X2 Residences Samui and X2 Residences Kui Buri were nominated and shortlisted in the Best Landscape Architectural Design. Over 1,400 nominations were received with only a select few going through the processes including site visits from the panel of judges, themselves handpicked from the real estate & hospitality industries as recognized experts.

All X2 Resort & Residences sites are managed and operated by the specialist group, Boutique Hotel Management Asia (BHMAsia). All X2 sites have a very unique and unequivocal persona that is embraced by all elements of the property. Whether it be design, service or location… X2 resorts will always exhibit:

  • Soulful… tranquility; that provides sensual pleasures and thoughtfulness.
  • Freedom… of space, process and rules; allowing guests to set their own agenda.
  • Simplicity… in form and service; completely understated and infused.

All X2 Resorts are designed and built with a primary goal that they must “satisfy the spirit”. This is partly achieved via architectural design, but more importantly through natural beauty of the location and the meshing of the structures with the canvas provided by nature”, says Mr. Anthony McDonald, CEO of Boutique Hotel Management Asia.

To achieve this goal, the design of resorts are underpinned by several important X2 characteristics:

  • Simplicity in style
  • Invisibility of design
  • Privacy without isolation
  • Natural articulation of structures
  • Homogeneous execution with the environment

Opened on December 2007, the first X2 resort is at Kui Buri (pronounced goo-wee boo-ree). Kui Buri is a 3 hours drive south of Bangkok, and half an hour south of the famous beachside resort town of Hua Hin “where the Thai royal family frequently reside”. X2 Koh Samui resort occupies 5 acres of land with 27 villas, most of them with private swimming pools; X2 Resorts began the construction of its third design property in Koh Kood. The resort will create 20 Fully Serviced Resort Residences comprising 14 boutique ‘Pool villas’ and 6 Ultra Chic ‘Island Suites’.
