Vietnam’s Laguna Lang Co Request for Concepts deadline extended to 15 September 2015

The new deadline, 15 September 2015, provides prospective investors and companies additional six weeks to submit their concepts for the world class integrated entertainment facilities at the resort managed and developed by the Banyan Tree Group.

SINGAPORE – Laguna Lang Co, operator of the luxury resort located within the Thua Thien-Hue province, announced today that it is extending the submission deadline for Request for Concepts (RFC). The decision to extend the deadline has been made due to the significant interest shown in the RFC.

The new deadline, 15 September 2015, provides prospective investors and companies additional six weeks to submit their concepts for the world class integrated entertainment facilities at the resort managed and developed by the Banyan Tree Group.

Request For Concepts for the gaming facility was issued by Laguna Lang Co on 26 May 2015 for an integrated entertainment facilities, which would comprise a gaming complex at its Laguna Lang Co master-plan development located along central Vietnam’s coastline.

It recently entered Phase II of its master plan development: a condominium development and additional residential hill villas overlooking the East Sea. Phase I comprised of a 57-villa Banyan Tree resort, 229-room Angsana resort, luxury residences, a Nick Faldo designed championship golf course, two spas, ten restaurants and bars and a conference center. Phase IIA will include additional luxury accommodations and the possible addition of a gaming facility.

Andrew Klebanow, a partner at Global Market Advisors, the firm conducting the gaming market assessment for the games facility, stated, “Vietnam is experiencing an exciting time in the gaming industry, with the potential loosening of the country’s gaming law expecting to attract more foreign investments. We believe that this extension is necessary in order to allow parties time to fine-tune their concepts as well as encourage more investors to participate in this RFC process.
