Vietjet launches new joint venture, ThaiVietjet

The official launch ceremony took place on 20 December 2014 in Bangkok and was attended by distinguished delegates and leaders of both Vietnam and Thailand.

SINGAPORE – Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (“Vietjet”) has received its Aircraft Operator Certificate to operate flights in Thailand through the establishment of its new joint venture, ThaiVietjet.
 
The official launch ceremony took place on 20 December 2014 in Bangkok and was attended by distinguished delegates and leaders of both Vietnam and Thailand. This new joint venture aims to be bring bilateral diplomatic and commercial relations between both countries to a new high. 
 
ThaiVietjet was born out of a desire to increasingly offer wonderful flying experiences at the best fares,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Chairman of the Board of ThaiVietjet. “With a modern fleet of brand new aircraft, our professional and friendly flight crew as well as our innovative and creative inflight activities, I believe ThaiVietjet will soon become one of the most favourable airlines in Thailand and across the region. We pledge to earn this reputation by showing our utmost respect and care for our valued customers.
 
ThaiVietjet will initially operate flights within Thailand, but in the near future, expand its network to connecting Thailand and other regional destinations.
 
Since Vietjet started its operations three years ago, the airline has doubled its commercial fleet, resulting in the transportation of over eight million passengers thus far. Vietjet currently operates 26 domestic and international routes. The airline offers express check-in at all airports for passengers over 65 years of age, expectant mothers, and families travelling with infants. Passengers with special needs and requirements are encouraged to approach Vietjet’s express check-in counters for priority boarding and assistance with carry-on luggage.
