Travelzen – first online booking service to offer scheduled cross-straits flights

Online travel innovator Travelzen announced the addition of instantly-bookable flights to and from Taiwan on the Travelzen.com website, just one week after the historic establishment of scheduled cross-straits flights.

This is a first in the history of cross-straits travel, with Travelzen offering the complete schedule of 270 weekly flights between four Taiwan and 27 mainland cities on the Travelzen website. This not only allows travelers from Taiwan to easily purchase their flights to China, but also allows them to be able to book a full range of China domestic flights and hotels at previously unavailable competitive prices, an unprecedented achievement in improving the accessibility and convenience of cross-straits travel.

“This is an absolute first,” remarked Ted Sze, CEO of Travelzen. “Two weeks ago, there were no scheduled flights across the straits. Now, China is an exciting new destination for Taiwanese travelers and travel agents. We understand the speed at which cross-straits travel is growing, and strive to meet this need and provide an efficient way for Taiwanese travelers to book their China trips.”

By being the first and only “Online Travel Agent” to offer real products after the establishment of scheduled cross-straits flights, combined with its uniquely powerful booking engine and vast array of Chinese domestic products, Travelzen expects to claim more than 20% of the individual cross-strait travel business in the coming year.

Adding to Travelzen’s strong position on both sides of the straits, the Cross Straits Travel Agency (CSTA) will act as the Taiwanese distributor for Travelzen’s suite of B2B products. Using the unique Travelzen engine and designed to meet the requirements of small- to medium-sized travel agents, the Travelzen B2B products will further consolidate Travelzen’s advantage in cross-straits booking by making it easy for the extensive network of independent travel agents in Taiwan to access and sell Travelzen’s impressive range of travel products for the mainland, Hong Kong and Macau.

To complete the Taiwan services package, Travelzen.com accepts a full range of Taiwan Dollar-based credit cards at no additional charges. All payments are processed through their secure payment gateway, with stringent risk management control to ensure peace of mind for their customers while purchasing online.

Said Sze “We’re the first Greater China online travel booking service ever created. We can offer our services to travelers to and from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. We are all very proud to be able to provide a small contribution to the economic development in this region.”
