Top lifestyle show returns to Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre as first exhibition in 2021

HOMEDEC, happening at the Centre will showcase the best products, solutions and technologies for the home – all under one roof from 28 to 31 October 2021.

The top lifestyle show is the place to discover new designs and home solutions and gain insights and inspiration for the best #HOMEDECisions and makeovers.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Malaysia’s premier purpose-built venue, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre), looks forward to welcoming HOMEDEC, a home design and interior show, as the first exhibition in 2021 from 28 to 31 October 2021.

Alan Pryor, the Centre’s General Manager, said, “We are delighted to resume business with HOMEDEC being the first major consumer exhibition in the venue and look forward to welcoming all visitors to our iconic facility. This event has always been a significant part of our annual event calendar and to host it again after a challenging two years, is a privilege to me and my team. This is made possible by the accelerated government move to re-open the industry allowing business continuity in the supply chain and stimulation of our economy. We have worked very closely with the organisers to ensure a safe and smooth journey for visitors and guests while at the Centre during these four days.”

Myriad of safety and hygiene measures, from policies to infrastructure, are put in place with strict implementation and enforcement to provide a secure, controlled and regulated event environment, making the Centre the first venue in Malaysia to obtain the “SafeBE”, hygiene label for convention centres by Bureau Veritas.

“We urge all visitors to comply with new norm standards from entry to exit point while visiting the Centre. There are a number of ways to access the venue directly to avoid long queues and waiting time at entrances. A range of public transportation and pedestrian walkways and connections are available as optional alternatives for people to get to the Centre conveniently.”

Other measures include thermal scanners, no-contact sanitisers, frequent and regular sanitisation and disinfection pre, during and post-event, additional finer filters in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system to regulate and maintain good air quality, and a fully vaccinated team trained on new norm proceedings.

Recurring at the Centre since 2006, the top lifestyle show is the place to discover new designs and home solutions and gain insights and inspiration for the best #HOMEDECisions and makeovers. Utilising five exhibition halls with upto 10,000sqm and open from 10am to 8pm, homeowners will be spoilt for choice with irresistible deals and promotions from a vast range of reputable home brands.

On the back of a recent government announcement expediting the resumption of business events, all scheduled upcoming events are able to proceed without any further need for postponements or cancellations. Over 50 events ranging from conferences, exhibitions, meetings and dinners are to take place at the Centre by year-end.
