THAI postpones the suspension of Rome route

Mr. Charamporn Jotikasthira, THAI President, said that on 10 August 2015 the Company’s Board of Directors agreed to postpone the suspension of the Bangkok – Rome route from 26 October 2015 to 1 February 2016 in order to meet travel demands during high season in Rome, Italy.

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) made adjustments to its international flight schedule for the Winter Program 2015/2016 by postponing the suspension of flight operations on the Bangkok – Rome route to February next year.
 
Mr. Charamporn Jotikasthira, THAI President, said that on 10 August 2015 the Company’s Board of Directors agreed to postpone the suspension of the Bangkok – Rome route from 26 October 2015 to 1 February 2016 in order to meet travel demands during high season in Rome, Italy. The Company will cooperate with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to jointly promote roundtrip travel on the route Bangkok – Rome, which the Company will operate at four flights per week with Boeing 747-400 aircraft on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
 
Route suspensions are only temporary, whereby resumption of service may be reconsidered once the Company has progressed with its transformation plan and is confident that it can compete well on the route concerned.
