PENANG – SuperStar Gemini, the newly refurbished 50,764-tonnage passenger cruise vessel, was proud to set sail from Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal on 2 January 2013 as she continues her series of inaugural cruises across Asia.

Last week, SuperStar Gemini embarked on her maiden voyages from Singapore Cruise Centre and she has now brought over her cruise magic to Penang. She will be homeported in Penang in January and Sanya in February & March, before commencing her seven-month seasonal deployment from April in Shanghai, calling at popular destinations in North.

The refurbished SuperStar Gemini features upgraded navigational and safety systems; restyled cabins, restaurants, entertainment & recreational facilities and a new hull artwork, depicting the constellation twins in vibrant colours. The vessel will offer an all-inclusive cruise experience, including a variety of entertainment and recreational choices to delight its 1,700 passengers. She houses 766 luxury guest cabins as well as over 6,000 sq feet of up-market duty-free retail area, a spa and health club and offers a broad range of Asian and international cuisine, among others.

Mr. William Ng, Chief Operating Officer of Star Cruises said: “We are delighted that SuperStar Gemini sets sail for the very first time from Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal today.
