Sofitel Luxury Hotels Asia Pacific announces relocation of regional headquarters

Sofitel Luxury Hotels announces the relocation of its Asia Pacific Headquarters to Singapore, which will commence full operation on 1 August 2011, to meet with the ongoing expansion of the group in the Asia Pacific region.

Commenting on the strategic relocation of its Asia Pacific office, Markland Blaiklock, Senior Vice President of Sofitel Luxury Hotels Asia Pacific said, “We are very excited with the relocation as it will further strengthen our footprint throughout Asia Pacific with regional offices in Bangkok, Macau and Sydney. This will also further ensure the growth of our network in a strategic city such as Singapore.”

As the luxury brand of the Accor group, the relocation will also result in a closer proximity to the Accor headquarters in the same building, enhancing communications among various operational levels. “The relocation enables better access to Sofitel Luxury Hotel’s network in South East Asia, which is under rapid development in recent years.” explained Markland Blaiklock.

The new office is situated at Raffles City Tower in Singapore, a prime landmark located on the fringe of Singapore’s Central Business District. The relocation will post no effect to the ongoing operation of Sofitel Luxury Hotels, but further strengthen Sofitel’s ambition to be the symbol of French Elegance in luxury hospitality around the world blending elements of the local culture with its French heritage.
