It will offer just 58 suites and villas, dining choices and Six Senses Spa Shaharut.

Anthony Borantin brings to this role a wealth of experience gained in Asia, Europe and the Middle East while working with top-tier hotels in operational management and food and beverage positions. His most recent assignment was as general manager of Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa in Cambodia.

We are delighted to welcome Anthony to our Six Senses family,” said Henry Gray, vice president of operations at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas. “Our Six Senses resort in Israel is going to be amazing. From the stunning desert location of the resort which is built into a dramatic cliff to the innovative dining options and wellness offerings, it’s a multi-sensual journey into a rich world of culture and ancient traditions. The resort will also include Earth Lab, where the team will share their sustainability efforts with guests. A stable of camels will also be featured where guests can interact with the long-legged mammals. It’s a general manager’s dream property.”

Beginning his hospitality career with Hyatt International in the Middle East, Anthony’s focus was on food and beverage with Hyatt in Istanbul, Dead Sea and Jerusalem. This was followed by tenure as food and beverage director at Grand Hyatt Berlin and executive assistant manager food and beverage at Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome. In 2003 Anthony established Pulse Hospitality Consulting, which he headed for the next decade before returning to operations at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu and The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya, and then managing the AVANI Quy Nhon Resort & Spa in Vietnam.

A French national, Anthony studied Business Administration and Management at Lausanne Hotel School and Law and Political Sciences at University of Human Sciences in Strasbourg where he had also earned his Baccalaureate Economic Social. He is fluent in several languages and looks forward to his new role as general manager of Six Senses Shaharut in Israel.
