Singapore Airlines launches Istanbul-Athens service

From 31 October, Singapore Airlines will commence new flights between Istanbul and Athens. In addition, the current non-stop services between Singapore and Istanbul will increase from four to six times weekly from 30 October, subject to regulatory approval.

Of these, three of the flights will carry on from Istanbul to Athens.

These new services will present customers from Turkey and around the region more travel options.

Mr Ang Beng Siong, Singapore Airlines General Manager Turkey, said, “We anticipate the new flight service between Istanbul and Athens to boost tourism and business exchanges between the two cities. It will bring about greater connectivity for travellers around the region and is ideal for customers seeking a weekend escape to the riches of Athens.”

Flights from Istanbul have also been re-timed to arrive in Singapore slightly later than the current services, offering customers with connecting flights onward from Singapore less time in transit and more convenient connection options. Detailed flight schedules are set out in the following page.

Both Singapore-Istanbul and Singapore-Istanbul-Athens return services will be operated with Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.
